Radford City Council to meet Monday, Jan. 23

RADFORD – The Radford City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting this Monday, Jan. 23.

The meeting agenda includes a public hearing for the 2023-24 fiscal year operating budget of Radford Transit.

The public hearing is “to receive citizen comment and input regarding the Radford Transit application for Federal Transit Authority FY 2024 Operating Funds, in the amount not to exceed $2,550,000 and capital not to exceed $100,000. Interested persons may appear to present their views and comments.” 

Comments may also be sent to Melissa Skelton, Transit Coordinator at 10 Robertson St., Radford VA 24141 or Melissa.Skelton@radfordva.gov.

The remainder of the agenda includes the following items:

Citizen comments on public matters: (Please state your name for the record. Please limit comments to three minutes or less.) 

Public hearing: Radford Transit FY 2024 Operating Budget 

Old business: 1. Appointments to Boards and Commissions a. Building Code Board of Appeals b. Planning Commission 

New business: 1. Radford Transit a. FY 2024 Operating Budget 2. Appropriation Ordinance 1763.21: $129,410-Victim Witness Assistance Grant 3. Appropriation Ordinance 1763.22: $2,500- Donation for Flock Cameras 

City manager comments 

Council member comments

Future meetings: January 30, 2023-Work Session at 5:30 p.m. and February 13, 2023- Regular Meeting at 7 p.m.

Radford City Council meetings are held in the Council Chambers at 10 Robertson St., Radford.
