The 11th annual EastMont Tomato Festival is Saturday

The Eastmont Tomato Festival, the summer celebration of Eastern Montgomery County and all things tomato, will be held Saturday at the Meadowbrook Community Center (267 Alleghany Springs Road, Shawsville). Every year, loyal volunteers from throughout the community gather to wash, cut and prepare tomatoes that have been grown by the community, readying them for sandwiches, biscuits, pizza and fried green tomatoes at the EastMont Tomato Festival.
