Letter to the editor
I would like to tell you about my good buddy Keith Marshall. We grew up together in Radford.
We lived in the same neighborhood, went to the same schools and played sports together. We graduated from Radford High School in 1988. Keith was the kind of friend that you could always count on.
He was smart, had your back as long as you weren’t doing stupid things and was a great athlete.
I’ve always considered him kinda like a brother and if I needed advise, Keith would be the first person I’d go to. Keith is running for Mayor of Radford and he needs your vote.
For the last eight years, Keith has honorably served on Radford City Council. Two of those years he was our Vice-Mayor.
I think he has looked out for all of us. He’s tried to keep taxes as low as possible while giving us the citizens of Radford, a quality of life that few localities have.
He has looked out for our police department, our schools, our streets, and he has tried to take care of the little people as well as everyone in the City. He has been a voice for all of us.
Keith stands up for what he believes in, and he doesn’t mind speaking his mind. To me that is a good quality, a quality that people should admire.
If you were ever on the football field with Keith, you would be glad he was on your team. He was hard nosed and you knew he had your back.
Keith has coached little league for his children’s team and I think if your child had him as a coach you would have a good clear understanding of the kind of person he is.
People that I work with mention to me often, that they would love to see Keith as their child’s coach. He was firm but fair and taught them the game. He set an example for how a coach should act.
The children loved him but so did their parents. Keith is the kinda guy I want for my Mayor.
Keith is a good Christian family man and he and his high school sweetheart Lisa, have raised 4 children here in Radford.
Keith isn’t against helping anyone. He helps us every day and has given of his time to make Radford a better place to live.
Keith is trying to help you and me. He wants our City to be a safe place to raise our families and receive a good education.
I hope you will agree that we need Keith’s experience and wisdom on council as our next Mayor. Please vote on May 1, 2018 for Keith Marshall, he is the Smart choice for our Mayor!
