RADFORD – The Board of Directors of the Women’s Resource Center of the New River Valley has hired Kelly McCoy as the new Executive Director.
McCoy has been the interim director for the past four months, “during which she has shown excellent leadership skills,” according to the WRC.
“Beginning with volunteer work during her college years at Radford University, Kelly has spent nearly all of her career at the WRC,” the announcement continues. “Her return provides us with the deep benefit of her experience, skills, and commitment to the mission and values of the WRC, and of her knowledge of the New River Valley community.”
The Women’s Resource Center of the NRV is a non-profit organization that provides programs and services to adult and child victims of sexual and domestic violence.
“Since 1977, we’ve been providing hope and help to those who need it in the New River Valley,” according to its website. “Our center, the oldest in Virginia, has been and will continue to be the cornerstone of courage and inspiration for thousands of people in our community.”
