Whittaker, Terry Lane

Terry Lane Whittaker, 66, of Radford, passed away Saturday, May 27, 2017. He was a member of Belmont Christian Church since 1982, where he was serving as an elder and was involved with the Missions Committee for many years.


Terry was an employee of Aspen Motion/MOOG in Radford. He enjoyed the outdoors, bicycles and motorcycles. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Christine C. Whittaker of Radford; daughters and son-in-law, Jessica and Westley Fenton of Radford, and Emily Whittaker of Richmond; granddaughter, Macie Ann Fenton; parents, James and Johnnie Whittaker of Sophia, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law, James D. and Dianna Whittaker of Cary, N.C.; sister, Alice Whittaker of Greensboro, N.C.; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Belmont Christian Church in Christiansburg. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. with Rev. James “Beaver” Terry, Rev. Jim Bayne, Rev. Jerry Dowdy and Rev. Brandon Craig officiating. Interment will follow in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Vision Fund at Belmont Christian Church, 1500 Peppers Ferry Rd, Christiansburg, VA 24073.
