RADFORD – The City of Radford’s Spirit of America festival is set for Tuesday, July 4 in Bisset Park. A daylong spate of activities, live music and other entertainment kicks off at 1 p.m., with food trucks, craft and merchandise vendors, and a big children’s activity zone with inflatables and games.

The music headliner for this year’s festival is Edwin McCain, whose hit song “I’ll Be”, was released in January 1998 as the first single from his second album, ‘Misguided Roses’.

The song “was a success for McCain in the United States, peaking at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 after debuting at #7. The song has been used in several movies and TV series, including Dawson’s Creek, Cinderella Story, Higher Ground and The Office,” according to YouTube.

The full schedule for the Spirit of America can be viewed in the accompanying graphic.
