The green line shows the route Santa will take this Sunday for the Santa Police Cruise, starting at 2 p.m.

RADFORD – Don’t be alarmed if you hear a cacophony of sirens this Sunday; it’s probably not an actual
emergency, but Santa Claus making his rounds.
Santa’s Police Cruise is happening this Sunday, Dec. 19, starting at 2 p.m. The route begins and ends near
McHarg Elementary School, and the accompanying map shows the exact route.
“Santa will cover a lot of ground touring around the city, so he relies on the help of the Police Department
to guide him,” the Radford City Police Department announced. “The loud sirens and music will fill the
evening air as Santa and his festive police officers travel throughout the city. Residents should not be
alarmed when they hear the sound of emergency vehicles Sunday evening. Please understand Santa is
spreading some local cheer.”
The cruise will proceed at a slow pace through the route. The department says, “Santa’s exact arrival
times can be unpredictable due to traffic and unforeseen delays, but his elves assured us that it’s always
well worth any wait that might occur. Please spread the word to all your family and friends that Santa’s
coming to town.”
