Radford High School freshman Leah Woods (right), pictured with Mountain Academic Competition Conference Commissioner Robbie T. Patton, was recently selected for the MACC Commissioner’s Award.
MACC is an academic competition that tests students’ knowledge of English, math, science, social studies and all-around knowledge in a team setting.
“She was selected from students at all 17 MACC schools to receive this honor,” announced Radford High School.
“Great job, Leah!” MACC “was created in 1985 to provide an opportunity for students of Southwest Virginia to participate in a positive environment of academic competition,” according to the MACC website.
