Radford High School’s one-act play troupe recently took second place in Region 2C competition for their performance of “The History of Tom Jones.”

“Congratulations to the One-Act Team and cast and crew of Tom Jones,” RHS announced. “We are proud of this awesome cast and crew for a wonderful season.”

Additionally, RHS sophomores Collin Baron and William Johnson each received honorable mention actor awards and sophomore Summer Fisher received an Outstanding Actor Award.

“The History of Tom Jones” is described as “a vibrant, brisk play for adults and young adults” with “strong farcical content” with “elements of honest drama and romance” that provides an “analysis of human nature with its inherent hypocrisy, selfishness, boorishness, and indifference toward the welfare of others.”
