November 7, 2023 – General Election

Senate of Virginia – 5th District Virginia House of Delegates – 42nd District

 

Voter Registration Deadline:  Monday, October 16, 2023

Final day to apply for an Absentee Ballot by mail: Friday, October 27, 2023 at 5pm

The polls will be open on Election Day from 6am – 7pm

 

In-Person Early Voting at the

Radford City Office of Elections

619 2nd St. Room 143 Radford, VA. 24141

September 22 – November 3 from 8:30am – 5pm

 

In addition, we will be open from 9am to 5pm

Saturday, October 28, 2023 and Saturday, November 4, 2023

 

A Ballot Drop Box will be available outside the Radford City Courthouse

front door through Monday, November 6, 2023.

Ballot Drop Boxes will also be available on

Election Day, November 7, 2023 at each polling place.

 

The Constitution of Virginia requires that in order to be qualified to vote in the General & Primary Elections you must be a citizen of the United States, be eighteen years of age on or before the next General Election, have domicile and a place of abode in Radford City and that you be registered in the precinct in which you reside.

An acceptable ID will be required when you vote.  A voter may show either voter registration confirmation documents, valid Virginia Driver’s License, valid United States Passport, or any other identification issued by the Commonwealth, one of its political subdivisions, or the United States; any valid student identification card issued by any institution of higher education located in the Commonwealth or any private school located in the Commonwealth; any valid employer identification card containing a photograph of the voter and issued by an employer of the voter in the ordinary course of the employer’s business, or a copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter.
