Radford City Council to meet Monday

RADFORD – The Radford City Council will meet at 7 p.m. this Monday, Feb. 13.  

Prior to the regular meeting, council will have a closed session at 5:45 p.m. to discuss “Radford Electric Topics: Discussion or consideration of the investment of public funds where competition or bargaining is involved, where, if made public initially, the financial interest of the governmental unit would be adversely affected.”

The agenda for the regular meeting includes the following items:

CITIZEN COMMENTS ON PUBLIC MATTERS: (Please state your name for the record – Please limit comments to 3 minutes or less) 

PROCLAMATION: Black History Month 

RESOLUTION: Tracy Howard 

PUBLIC HEARING: Ordinance 1780-Rezoning Lovely Mount Drive 

OLD BUSINESS: 1. Appointments to Boards and Commissions a. Planning Commission b. Board of Zoning Appeals 2. Ordinance 1780-Rezoning Lovely Mount Drive 3. Ordinance 1781-Vacation of Right of Way-K&J Properties 

NEW BUSINESS: 1. Robert Allen Hall Service Above Self Award 2. Appropriation Ordinance 1763.23: $5,000-NRRA Litter Prevention and Assistance Grant

The meeting will be held in council chambers, 10 Robertson St., Radford.
