RADFORD – A bee on the Rose of Sharon flower in Rebecca Harris’ Radford backyard won the Radford Photo Club’s June photo contest in the Flower category.
Robert Daniels of Snowville won the open category with his photo of a Japanese maple tree.
Presenter Aileen Fletcher gave a talk on Nature photography, with an assignment for the Wednesday, July 19 meeting at the Radford Public Library. Fletcher is a professional photographer who retired recently from New River Community College. Her work is on display at the Fine Arts Center for the New River Valley in Pulaski, along with photos from other club members.
The Radford Photo Club is made up of professional and amateur photographers from throughout the New River Valley. Meetings, events, and outings are open to the public. The July photo contest is Independence, plus an open category. And participants can request feedback on other photos.
