Kenneth Robert Nutter, 77, of Blacksburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2023, at his home.
He was born in Christiansburg on Nov. 8, 1945, to the late Jesse and Cordie Shelor Nutter. He was also preceded in death by twin infant sons.
Kenneth was a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He is survived by his wife, Alice S. Nutter; daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Ronnie Turpin, Julie and Danny Hagy, and Tonya Blackwell; grandchildren Dalton, Faith, Caleb, Dylan, Alexis, Kaylee, Isabella, and Jaxon; sister and brother-in-law Lois and Darrel Semones; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Sue Nutter; aunt Edith Hurt; mother-in-law, Mary Jane Surface; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and other relatives; and his furry companion, Sebastian.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, Feb. 6, 2023, in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmie Lee Price officiating. Interment followed in the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Long Shop–McCoy Fire and Rescue P.O. Box 489, McCoy, Va. 24111.
