Manns, Caroline Regina Lewis

Caroline Regina Lewis Manns, 84, went to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at her home in New River. 

She was a member of First Missionary Baptist Church and was a graduate of the Christiansburg Institute. Caroline retired as a nursing assistant from St. Alban’s Hospital where she worked for more than 20 years. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Regina Lewis; daughters Dawn and Christine; brothers Ray Whitfield, Rodney, James “Waldeck”, and Leander Lewis; and sisters Valerie Morton, Eliza Charleton, and Christine Wright. 

Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Charles Manns, Sr.; daughter Charlene Horne; sons Charles. Manns, Jr., and Donald Manns; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; brothers Walter (Sandy) Lewis, Anthony Lewis, and Courtney (Terri) Lewis; sisters Laverne Brown; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

The family received friends on Monday, March 13, 2023, at First Missionary Baptist Church in New River. Funeral services followed with the Rev. Montie Brown officiating. Interment followed in New River Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to METAvivor- Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness, Research and Support.

The Manns family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
