Madelyn J. Davis of Radford graduated from Grand Valley State University at the conclusion of the 2020 winter semester and received a Bachelor of Science degree.

Kaela Dunlap of Blacksburg and Brenna Crowgey from Christiansburg have been named to the president’s list for the spring 2020 semester at Shenandoah University. To achieve this honor, students must have attained a grade point average of at least 3.90.

Daniel Burzek from Radford was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Burzek was initiated at Old Dominion University.
Membership in Phi Kappa Phi is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
Phi Kappa Phi was founded in 1897 under the leadership of undergraduate student Marcus L. Urann, who had a desire to create a different kind of honor society: one that recognized excellence in all academic disciplines. Today, the Society has chapters on more than 300 campuses in the United States and the Philippines.

Michael Joyce of Blacksburg was named to The University of Alabama president’s list for spring 2020.
The president’s list recognizes full-time undergraduate students who achieved a 4.0 (all A’s) during the semester.
