Feeding Southwest Virginia is sponsoring a summer feeding program under the auspices of the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). The same meals are available at no charge to all participants at each site.
Persons with disabilities who require alternative means of communication for program information (e.g. Braille, large print, audiotape, American Sign Language, etc.), should contact the agency (state or local) where they applied for benefits. Individuals who are deaf, hard of hearing or have speech disabilities may contact USDA through the Federal Relay Service at (800) 877-8339. Program information may be made available in languages other than English.
The Montgomery County sites, the dates and times, and the particular meals distributed are as follows:
A snack will be distributed Monday through Friday from 3:15 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the R.O.C.K. Club, 1820 Second St., Radford.
A snack and supper will be distributed each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club, 4179 Oldtown Rd.,Shawsville.
A snack and supper will be distributed each Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Y Center Thrift Shop, 1000 N. Main St., Blacksburg.
A breakfast will be distributed Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, 595 N. Franklin St., Christiansburg. A snack will also be distributed Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. at the aquatic center.
A morning snack will be distributed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Meadowbrook Library, 267 Alleghany Spring Rd.. Shawsville. An afternoon snack will also be distributed on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the same location.
A lunch will be distributed Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:10 p.m. at the Adams Marke Mobile Home Community, 330 Merrimac Rd., Blacksburg. A snack will also be distributed Monday through Friday from 12:10 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the same location.
A lunch and a snack will be distributed Monday through Friday from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at the Oak Forest Mobile Home Community, 1156 Hightop Rd., Blacksburg.
A snack and supper will be distributed Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Blacksburg Estates, 301 Givens Lane, Blacksburg.
A snack and supper will be distributed Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at the Meadowbrook Mobile Home Community, 3110 Meadowbrook Dr., Blacksburg.
A snack and supper will be distributed Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.at Linden Greens, 1600 Simpson Rd., NE, Christiansburg.
Lunch and a snack will be distributed Monday through Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at South Hill, 115 South Hill Dr., Blacksburg.
