Local churches hold music benefit for RHS senior

Blessings 2000 held a Musical Benefit for Eric Burdette (a Senior) of Radford High School that has been diagnosed with lymphoma. The benefit was held Sunday, Oct. 15 at First Baptist Church (555 West Rock Road) in Radford.

Eric Burdette of Radford High School expresses his thanks to everyone who has shown love and kindness to him since being diagnosed with lymphoma.

Randy Burdette gives thanks to everyone in the community for their support.

Keith Marshall of the Radford City Council speaks on behalf of the council.

Many choirs and groups participated in the program including: Freedom Fellowship Worship, First Baptist Church Praise Team, Pastor Delores Caldwell & Power House of Deliverance of Dublin, First Baptist Church Mass Choir, Radford Church Of God In Christ, & Fairlawn Church Of God.

Blessings 2000 was started by the late elder Eyvonne Spencer Pastor of New Beginnings United Holy Church of Pulaski that passed away in 2016.

Elder Spencer started Blessings 2000 to help raise money for people that was sick and to help with the fund of medicine supplies. Randy Olverson and Marva Hickman are now over Blessings 2000.
