Virginia “V.T.” Folden Kanode left this beautiful world Saturday, July 29, 2023.
She was born in Kingsport, Tenn., April 30, 1930 to the late Robert Folden and VA Folden. She was also preceded in death by her two sisters Pearl Crider and Ruth Miller, granddaughter Alexandria Kanode, two brothers Robert Folden and Paul Folden, and a son, Gary Kanode.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter-in-law, Debi Zachary, a precious granddaughter, Sidney Faith Kanode; and many nieces and nephews.
“V.T.” worked at Jefferson Mills in Pulaski three and a half years and 38 and a half years at Hercules, retiring in 1995.
To all the wonderful, loving, caring friends it’s been a joy friending you.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, August 2, 2023 in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gary McCoy and Rev. J.B. Beane officiating. The family received friends prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Blacksburg Christian Church, (Disciples of Christ) or the Salvation Army.
