The City of Radford and Radford Parks and Recreation recently celebrated the reopening of Sparky’s Run Dog Park.
“This space has always been a special place for residents and their pets, and we’re grateful to see it open once again for the community to enjoy,” the city announced. “We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Radford City Council for their continued support, as well as City Manager Todd Meredith for his leadership and commitment to improving our local amenities. This reopening would not have been possible without the efforts of dedicated staff members from Parks and Recreation, the Water/Wastewater Department, and Public Works, along with volunteers, contractors and community members who worked hard behind the scenes.”
The city announced it will be making additional improvements at the dog park.
“While today marks an important milestone, it’s only the beginning. We’re looking forward to future enhancements at Sparky’s Run, including the addition of a pavilion and new play equipment that will make the park even more welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.
Thank you to everyone who played a role in bringing this project back to life—we’re proud to see our community continue to grow and invest in spaces that bring people together.”
