CHRISTIANSBURG – The Community Health Center of the New River Valley (CHCNRV) continues to expand access to high-quality, integrated healthcare with the addition of two new providers.
Samantha Miller, licensed clinical social worker, and dentist Dr. Tucker Coffey have joined the organization’s growing team, further strengthening behavioral health and dental services for patients throughout the New River Valley.
The addition of Miller and Coffey reflects CHCNRV’s ongoing commitment to meeting the increasing healthcare needs of the region by providing comprehensive medical, dental and behavioral health services under one roof. As demand for affordable, accessible care continues to grow, the new providers will help expand appointment availability while ensuring patients receive coordinated, patient-centered care.
“Samantha and Tucker each bring exceptional training, compassion and a genuine commitment to serving others,” said Michelle Brauns, Chief Executive Officer of the Community Health Center of the New River Valley. “Their experience and dedication to improving lives make them wonderful additions to our team. Every new provider strengthens our ability to deliver the high-quality, integrated healthcare our patients deserve.”

Miller joins CHCNRV as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with extensive experience in behavioral health, chronic illness counseling, crisis intervention and care coordination. She most recently served as Manager of Social Work Services for Fresenius Medical Care, where she supervised social workers across Virginia, Tennessee and West Virginia while helping patients navigate the emotional and behavioral challenges associated with chronic medical conditions. She also brings experience in community health, case management and children’s services, after earning her Master of Social Work degree from Radford University.
Coffey recently earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry after completing his undergraduate studies in biochemistry at Virginia Tech. As a National Health Service Corps Scholar, he has demonstrated a commitment to providing care in underserved communities. During his clinical training, he gained experience in restorative dentistry, oral surgery, prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry and preventive care while also participating in community outreach efforts, including a dental mission to Puerto Rico. His commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered dentistry aligns closely with CHCNRV’s mission of expanding access to quality oral healthcare.
