Carmela Dominguez Chambers, 88, of Radford, passed away Thursday, Mar. 20, 2025. She was born in Mercedes, Texas, the daughter of the late Genevieve Dominguez Bogoski. She attended Pan American College at the University of Texas and retired from Carilion with over 20 years of service. She took pride in being part of a U. S. Marine family.
Carmela was preceded in death by her mother; and her beloved husband of 43 years, Donald Gray Chambers.
Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey and Steve Walters of Lumber City, Ga., Cynthia and Theron Lester of Riner, Va., and Diane and Steve Mack of Radford, Va.; son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Cara Chambers of Salisbury, N.C.; grandchildren, Ainsley (Joe) Posillico, Christopher Chambers, Harrison Chambers Jimmy (Heather) Walters, Stephanie Thomas, and Lisa Bivins; six great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; special dog, Bailey; and many other relatives and friends.
The family welcomed friends Sunday, Mar. 23, 2025, at the family home, 319 Third St., Radford.
