“Broadway in Blacksburg” returns to the Moss Arts Center for its 2023-24 season, with two captivating productions. Tickets will be available starting Thursday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. for a masterful revival of the classic musical “My Fair Lady,” and “Come From Away,” a touching performance inspired by a remarkable true story.

Current Moss Arts Center subscribers and donors of $1,000 or more receive early access to tickets. Premier and gold subscribers and donors can purchase tickets now, while silver subscribers receive presale access on Aug. 1.

“Come From Away”

Monday, Oct. 23, 8 p.m.

Celebrate the best of humankind at “Come From Away.” Stirring and inspiring, this New York Times critics’ pick takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of the small town in Newfoundland that opened its homes to 7,000 stranded travelers on 9/11. During that fateful week, cultures clashed and nerves ran high — but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.

“My Fair Lady”

Wednesday, Feb. 14, 7:30 p.m.

From Lincoln Center Theater and lyricist and librettist Alan Jay Lerner and composer Frederick Loewe comes “a sumptuous new production of the most perfect musical of all time,” according to Entertainment Weekly, “My Fair Lady.”  Boasting such classic songs as “I Could Have Danced All Night,” “The Rain in Spain,” and “Wouldn’t It Be Loverly,” “My Fair Lady” tells the story of Eliza Doolittle, a young Cockney flower seller, and Henry Higgins, a linguistics professor who is determined to transform her into his idea of a “proper lady.” But who is really being transformed? Complete with an updated ending twist, Director Bartlett Sher’s glowing production is “thrilling, glorious and better than it ever was,” according to The New York Times.

Tickets

Tickets for the performances are $45-$95 for general public and $25-$75 for youth 18 and under. A limited number of Virginia Tech student tickets are available for $10. Tickets are available to the public beginning Thursday, Aug. 3, at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online; at the Moss Arts Center’s box office, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday; or by calling 540-231-5300 during box office hours.

2023-24 season premier and gold subscribers and donors of $1,000 currently have early presale access to “Broadway in Blacksburg” tickets. Silver subscribers receive presale access Tuesday, Aug. 1. Subscriptions for the 2023-24 season are currently available and offer discounted prices and priority seat selection.

Please note, subscriber discounts do not apply to “Broadway in Blacksburg” series performances.
