One of the first tenants at the Clifton Town Center in Christiansburg will be a bank. Ridge View Bank announced plans to locate in the new development along Peppers Ferry Road.
In the announcement this past week, the bank said it will open in 2027, pending regulatory approval.
The new office will mark the bank’s fourth location overall. Carrie McConnell is the president of Ridge View Bank and said the New River Valley is a place that’s deeply personal to her because it’s where she grew up.
“Over the past two and a half years, we’ve had the opportunity to build meaningful relationships in this market through our Loan Production Office, led by longtime senior banker Todd Murray. The support we’ve received and the connections we’ve made have confirmed our belief that the NRV is an outstanding community in which to live, work, and do business. We are thrilled to establish a permanent, full-service presence in Christiansburg and look forward to serving the financial needs of local families, businesses, and community organizations for years to come,” she said.
The approximately 3,800-square-foot facility will operate as a full-service SMART Center, offering commercial banking, private banking and treasury management services, along with innovative digital banking solutions designed to help clients manage their finances conveniently and securely. The office will provide local decision-making, personalized service and access to the full range of Ridge View Bank products and services.

Located in the heart of Christiansburg, Clifton Town Center is an emerging mixed-use development that offers convenient access to residential neighborhoods, retail destinations and recreational amenities, making it an ideal location, the press release said, for Ridge View Bank’s expanding presence in the New River Valley.
The town center sits across from Huckleberry Park and with direct access to the Huckleberry Trail.
According to the CTC planning document, the area will be built around pedestrian-friendly streets, green gathering spots, outdoor concert venues and boutiques.
Luxury townhomes are currently under construction on the 37-acre site. The entire development is expected to be completed in the next four years.
