RADFORD – Utility customers in Radford will have a bit more time than usual to get their January utility bills paid.
The city issued a statement about the bills on Friday, Jan. 13, citing a mailing delay.
“Due to a mailing delay by the postal service, utility bills have not yet been received by customers,” the statement reads. “A revised due date for these bills will be announced once the city becomes aware of customer receipt of the utility bill.”
Customers who do not want to wait to receive the bill in the mail have some options.
“Customers can request a copy of their bill by calling Utility Billing at 540-731-3602, option 2, and payments are being accepted in the Treasurer’s office now, if you would like to go ahead and pay the bill.”
The Treasurer’s office is also willing to give customers the amount of their bill, and if that is desired, they can be reached at 540-731-3661. City utility bills include electric, water, sewer, and trash pick-up.
