Wendell Winston Sheppard, 55, of Blacksburg was called home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at his home. He was born in Radford, VA on Dec. 27, 1962. He was preceded in death by his father, Garland “Billy” Nelson Sheppard; mother, Mary Lois Brookman Price; step-father, Samuel Matthew Price; brother, Carl Nelson Sheppard; and sister, Stephanie Campbell.
He is survived by his brothers, Paul “Bob” Price of Glendale, KY, Timothy Price (Kathy) of Blacksburg, and Jerry Price (Lisa) of Blacksburg; sisters, Wanda Hamlin of Floyd, Leda “Missy” Albrecht (Billy Slusser) of Blacksburg, Kay Simpkins (Kirby) of Blacksburg, Karen Hinkley of Parrott, Tammy Reece of Pembroke, and Lisa Brumfield of Blacksburg; as well as numerous beloved nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews who enriched Wendell’s life with love, joy, and companionship.
A Memorial Service was conducted on March 3, 2018 at 1 p.m. in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel. The family received friends prior to the service. Arrangements by McCoy Funeral Home, Blacksburg.
