Woolridge, Bobby Eugene

Bobby Eugene Woolridge, 89, of Pageton, W.Va., peacefully went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born Oct. 21, 1935, Bobby was happily married to Shelby J. Woolridge for 64 years. He cherished any time spent with family. He was of the Baptist faith and loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. Bobby was a Korea War veteran, Staff Sgt. First Class US Army – Company D 11th Armed Cavalry, 7th Division, 31st Infantry Baker Company. He was a master electrician by trade.

Bobby was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence Woolridge and Helen Rhodes; his brothers, William Woolridge and Harry James Wooldridge; his sister, Eva Sue Rash; and his son-in-law, Gene Leslie, Sr.

Left to cherish his memory his wife, Shelby J. Woolridge; his daughters, Helen (George) Pack, Tina Leslie and Sherry Woolridge; his favorite grandchildren, Julia and Mark Little and Gene, Jr. and Kay Leslie; his favorite great granddaughter, Alexa Little; and special niece, Nancy Wooldridge.

The family would like to extend thanks for compassionate care provided by CenterWell Home Health (Marissa McGuire, RN), Compassus Palliative Care (Jessica Craft, NP), Good Samaritan Palliative Care (Will Johns), and all staff at Good Samaritan Hospice (Mary Lee, Danni, Haley, Hylea, Jenna, Laura Beth, Betsy, and Miranda).

A private graveside service with full military honors was held Friday, Aug. 29, 2025, with Reverend Samuel Vance, a lifelong friend and brother, officiating.

The Woolridge family would like to thank Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory for all their support and kindness during our loss.
