The Radford City Police Department was investigating a “hit and run” motor vehicle crash that occurred on June 19 on the 500 Block of Preston Street.
A 12-year-old male juvenile was struck while riding his bicycle by a vehicle described as a “light red, four door sedan.”
The juvenile sustained non-life threatening injuries and was treated at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center.
The police department asked for citizen assistance in locating the involved vehicle and driver.
The Radford City Police Department has charged Casie Grevelle Pruitt, 38, of Radford, with one count of general reckless driving and one count of felony hit and run with injuries.
She is currently being held in The Montgomery County Jail with no bond on unrelated charges.
