Weiss, Jr., Charles Andrew

Charles Andrew Weiss, Jr., 91, of Fairlawn, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2019. Born September 9, 1927, he was a U. S. Army veteran and retired from Radford Army Ammunition Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Josie Whitt Weiss; and sons and daughter-in-law, Charles Alan and Alice Weiss and Clifford Arnold Weiss; a brother and a sister.

Survivors include his wife of 68 years, Alta Frances King Weiss; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Scott “Tater” Weiss-Jones; sons and daughter-in-law, Scottie Lee and Trina Weiss; brother-in-law, Phillip (Martha) King; nine grandchildren, Phillip King, Jr., Shannon (Bryan) Cook, Crystal King, Andy (Paula) Weiss, Tanya (Jason) White, Misty (James) Breeden, Brandy Weiss, Alisha Weiss and Noah Weiss; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, Joseph and Clinton Weiss; and many other relatives and friends.

The family received friends on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Funeral services followed with Rev. John Tibbs officiating. Interment with full military honors followed in Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.
