Kaylee Ramrattan drove in four runs on three hits to lead Auburn past Grayson County 13-0 this past week. Ramrattan doubled in the fourth inning, scoring two runs, and singled in the seventh inning, scoring one.
Auburn got on the board in the top of the fourth inning after Ariel Mullins tripled down the right field line, Mallory Akers singled to center field, and Ramrattan doubled to left field, each scoring two runs.
Auburn scored five runs on five hits in the top of the seventh inning. McKenzie Booth singled, scoring one run, Ramrattan singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Leah Wimmer doubled, scoring one run.
Booth earned the win as she surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Skyler Hodges threw three innings of scoreless ball for Auburn in relief. The pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out three and walking one.
Auburn tallied 19 hits in the game. Mullins, Ramrattan, and Faith Wilson each collected three hits for Auburn Varsity Eagles. Akers, Samantha Anderson, Booth, and Wimmer each collected multiple hits. Auburn didn’t commit a single error in the field. Hope Wilson had the most chances in the field with eight.
Lady Bruins Down Hidden Valley
Blacksburg High School girls soccer team defeated Hidden Valley 2-0 on Friday night.
Senior Erin Bishop and freshman Danielle Douglas each scored for Blacksburg. Freshman Anna Dove recorded her 13th shutout of the season.
Blacksburg improved to 14-2 in the season while Hidden Valley dropped to 9-5-1.
Blacksburg Boys Remain Unbeaten
The Blacksburg boys kept their 2025 record unblemished this past week with a 3-0 win.
Pee Wee Distler scored two first half goals and Luca Ripepi scored midway through the second half for the Bruins. Craig Huxtable and Alex Doyle recorded assists for Blacksburg, who is now 14-0 in the season. Cave dropped to 3-11-1.
