RADFORD – A local woman is looking to the public for information after someone stole supplies from Bisset Park for her son’s wedding.

Stacy Marks reserved Shelter two at Bisset Park on Saturday, May 16 and decorated it for the reception before heading out for the ceremony. When they returned, several items had been stolen.

“We reserved shelter two at Bisset Park,” she said on social media. “We had to leave for the wedding. When we came back for the reception. We found several items stolen.”

“It was our fault for trusting people would not disturb an event,” she added.

“I was there from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., decorating the pavilion, hanging lanterns and paper flowers, moving tables, placing tablecloths, hanging eight 16×20 posters of [the bride and groom] along with material wrapped around the post, flowers and material at the entrance ways,” Marks said on Monday. “There was a big shopping bag full of 12 bags of chips, two new camping chairs, two boxes of flowers plus the 10×30 wedding tent that the groomsmen assembled that went missing. Decorations were ripped down from the ceiling. It was not wind because they ripped the plastic tables with their shoes.”

The theft happened on Saturday, May 16 between 12:30 and 4 p.m.

The stolen items include: a10x30 white wedding tent, two camping chairs, 12 bags of potato chips and two boxes of floral arrangements.

“If you stole these items, we are glad to be a blessing to you,” she said on her post. “Just know it didn’t affect our day. Let us know what else you need. Perhaps we can help.”

Marks is asking anyone who was at the park between one and four p.m. to reach out to Stacy Marks on Facebook if they saw anything.
