Peacefully surrounded by her family, Mrs. Margaret Gosnell Weaver, of Dublin, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 17, 2018. She worked alongside her husband for 40 years supporting his CPA business by providing bookkeeping and administrative services. In service to the Lord, she volunteered for 15 years as the treasurer of her beloved church, Dublin United Methodist, where she was a member for 58 years. She was also an active member of the Patsy Walsh Circle and the United Methodist Women.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Dock and Daisy Gosnell; her brother, Bert Gosnell; and her son, infant Weaver.

She is survived by her dedicated husband of 62 years, Howard W. Weaver; daughter, Beth Weber and son-in-law, Charles Weber of Daleville; daughter, Molly Jo Nevitt of Christiansburg; sister and brother-in-law, Barbara and Totoa Wells of Dublin; brother and sister-in-law, Charles William and Betty Gosnell of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Bonnie Elkins of Charleston, S.C.; sister-in-law, Barbara Gosnell of Dublin; treasured nieces and nephews as well as “adopted” children, Stephanie Bird Henthorn and Steve Lange.

Margaret truly enjoyed her time with family and friends. She participated in countless luncheons, potlucks, girl scout meetings, birthday parties, cookouts and many other events at Dublin UMC. Her heart was open to all, without judgment and with an abundance of love. Hers was a life to be modeled after and she leaves behind a legacy of rich and sweet memories.

The family would like to thank the nurses of 9 Mountain PCU at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

The family received friends from on Dec. 20, 2018 at the Dublin United Methodist church. Funeral services were held on Dec. 21, 2018 at the church. Interment followed at Highland Memory Gardens in Dublin.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Dublin UM Church, P. O. Box 577, Dublin, VA 24084.

The Weaver family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
