BLACKSBURG – Four new members were recently appointed to the Warm Hearth Foundation Board of Trustees.

An all-volunteer board, members work with Philanthropy staff and the greater community to share the mission of the Warm Hearth Foundation and support its efforts to advocate, innovate and care for seniors in our community.  A 501 (C) 3 organization, the Foundation raises funds to support the strategic work of Warm Hearth Village and to secure funding for housing, healthcare and basic necessities for more than 144 village residents who qualify for needs-based subsidies and programs.

Bettye Ackerman is an owner at Campbell & Ackerman Attorneys at Law, PC in Blacksburg. She oversees all legal services and business operations of the firm and counsels clients on estate planning, family law and guardianships and conservatorships.

  1. Keith Brandis is the President of Volvo Technology of America, LLC., in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Heather Ducote is a Senior Director of Marketing and Brand Management at Virginia Tech in the Communications and Marketing Division.

Trevor Gray is an independent advisor for Kingsview Partners in Blacksburg.

Membership thrives on a true curiosity and a real passion for supporting seniors. The Board of Directors and the entire Village look forward to the infusion of their talents and expertise into the board and Village and appreciate their willingness to serve.

Warm Hearth Village is a nonprofit senior living community in Blacksburg.
