BLACKSBURG – Warm Hearth Village (WHV) is proud to announce its recognition as one of the best retirement communities in the Southwest Region by Virginia Living Magazine’s annual Best of Virginia issue.

Additionally, the nonprofit Treasure Trove thrift store has also been honored as a winner, reflecting its meaningful role in the community.

More than 40,000 readers across the Commonwealth cast their votes to highlight outstanding businesses, restaurants, and service providers, underscoring the widespread appreciation for Warm Hearth Village.

Founded in 1974, WHV continues to provide exceptional care and a vibrant living experience for older adults throughout the New River Valley. Since 2016, The Treasure Trove, known for its quality offerings and welcoming atmosphere, has played a vital role in assisting residents in need through its proceeds from selling items donated by residents, employees, and members of the greater community.

This recognition is a testament to the compassionate work of staff, volunteers, and supporters who help fulfill the Warm Hearth mission every day and the Village extends heartfelt thanks to all who voted and continue to champion its mission of people helping people.
