Sherman Collins owned and operated Colonial Gulf at the new location of the Radford Visitor’s Center and a nice display on the wall gives a nod to his years in the building.

RADFORD – The Radford Visitors Center offers information and Radford-themed merchandise to visitors and community members, and also pays homage to a much-loved, long-time member of the Radford community. Sherman Collins owned and operated Colonial Gulf at the new location of the visitor’s center and a nice display on the wall gives a nod to his years in the building. First Street Properties now owns the building and invested extensive rehabilitation efforts into the building.

“Visitors and residents have all commented about how great the place looks and what a great representation that it makes for Radford,” said Radford Director of Tourism Deb Cooney.

Cooney said at this time the Visitors Center is open Tuesday through Thursday 10a.m.- 2 p.m. but “we’ve been encouraging folks to stop in if they see the light on; we are advertising shorter hours because of COVID.”
