Turman, James Junior

James Junior Turman, 66, of Christiansburg, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019. Born on Sept. 23, 1952, he was a member of the Radford Worship Center and was employed with Canteen. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Landon and Mary Lou Turman; and his sister, Jean Ratcliffe.


Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Ava R. Turman; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sandra Turman of Dublin; stepson, Michael Sayers of Dublin; grandchildren, Bailey, Brandon, Kylee, Peyton and Bryton; sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Joe Dice of Draper; and several nieces and nephews and special friends.

The family received friends on Jan. 25, 2019 at the Radford Worship Center. Memorial services were held with Dr. Hal Adams officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Radford Worship Center.
