Montgomery County Friends of Animal Care and Control, a local non-profit, is teaming up with a traveling comedy team called ‘Raise the Woof’ that crisscrosses the country performing stand-up to raise money for animals at the Hyatt Place Blacksburg/University from 6:30–10 p.m. Saturday.

In an event intended for adults 18 and older, the Friends group will team with the comedians “for a night packed with laughter and fun,” a press release said.

The evening will include a special comedy show, heavy hors d’oeuvres, a 50/50 raffle, silent auction and cash bar.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the animals at the Montgomery County Animal Care and Adoption Center.

The Hyatt Place Blacksburg/University is located at 650 University City Blvd. in Blacksburg.

Tickets are $40 and can be purchased through Eventbrite at www.ow.ly/GLn030g0ZHW.
