Timothy Osborne Cox, 67, of Dublin, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, July 2, 2026. He was a former employee of Kollmorgen and was currently employed by Food Lion.
Born Jan. 25, 1959, he was preceded in death by his parents, John Clayton Cox, Sr. and Joan Lee Phillips Cox; his brother, John Cox, Jr.; and his sister, Dianne Poff.
He is survived by his daughter, Ashley Williams (Travis); his son, Austin Cox (Maggie); and his beloved grandchildren, Tucker, Anna, and Tyson Williams, and Hudson and Ellie Cox. He is also survived by his brother, Kevin Cox (Diane), as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Tim enjoyed riding his motorcycle, spending time at the beach, and, most of all, watching his grandchildren grow and supporting them in their sports and activities. While Tim’s presence will be greatly missed, the love, laughter and memories he shared with family and friends will be treasured for years to come.
The family will host a drop-in Celebration of Life gathering for family and friends on Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026, from 3-6 p.m. at the home of Ashley and Travis Williams, 6916 Bleak Ridge Road, Hiwassee, Virginia 24347.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to “Taking it to the Streets,” an organization that Tim greatly enjoyed serving, along with his Food Lion friends during the holidays. Items can be dropped or checks mailed to 235 N. Jefferson Avenue, Pulaski, VA 24301.
The Cox family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
