Speed contributes to skateboarder injury on Radford’s Stockton Street at University Drive

Radford City Police responded to an accident involving a skateboarder on Monday, Oct. 2, 2017.


The skateboarder is Mr. Michael Conway, 21-year-old male from Williamsburg.

Mr. Conway was traveling North on University Drive when he realized that he was traveling too fast to make the turn onto Stockton Street, he then proceeded to try and jump the guard rail.

Mr. Conway sustained a laceration to the left side of his body and was transported to Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital via helicopter. There is no further information to release at this time.
