Six Radford University student-athletes received all-academic honors from the Virginia Sports Information Directors Association (VaSID) on Monday.
Selected to the 2019-20 Academic All-State team from RU were Jen Falconer, R-Sr., Mechanicsburg, Pa., 4.0, Business (Master’s), Women’s Basketball; Hunter Mundy, Sr., Creedmoor, N.C., 3.88, Political Science, Softball; Brittany Rinaldi, Sr., Miller Place, N.Y., 4.0, Geospatial Science, Women’s Lacrosse; Jacob Wilkinson, R-Jr., Frederick, Md., 4.0, Finance and Accounting (Double Major), Men’s Soccer; Stephanie Neast, Sr., Mechanicsburg, Pa., 3.87, Exercise, Sport and Health Education, Volleyball; and Natacha Rangel-Ribiero, Sr., Midlothian, Va., 4.0, Chemistry, Women’s Soccer.
Each school from across the Commonwealth of Virginia may nominate up to six student-athletes from all sports for the annual VaSID Academic All-State Team. This year, 37 schools nominated deserving student-athletes with a total of 222 being honored for the 2019-20 academic year.
VaSID names 44 all-state teams in 23 sports each year, as well as an Academic All-State squad and an all-sports champion in both the university and college divisions. Membership in the sports information directors association is open to all media relations professionals working at a university or conference in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
