The New River Regional Drug Task Force recently confiscated approximately $19,000 of crystal meth and arrested two men as a result of a narcotics investigation in Christiansburg, according to a news release.
The investigation began on the 2100 block of Roanoke Street where officers witnessed suspicious activity from multiple suspects. After questioning the group, the task force had enough probable cause for a search warrant.
The warrant led them to the residence of one of the suspects, Todd Nunn, 35, in Pulaski County. The warrant was executed by the Claytor Lake Task Force Monday, Jan. 29.
Officers found numerous marijuana plants, a large amount of processed marijuana, crystal meth, mushrooms and several firearms, according to the release.
Additionally, a large amount of US currency was also confiscated.
The 196 grams of meth found at the residence has a street value of $19,600 according to an officer involved in the case. He said that it is the largest bust in a while, as the group confiscated 104 grams ($10,400 value) in all of 2017.
Nunn was arrested and charged with distribution of meth and conspiracy to distribute meth.
Isaac Linkenhoker, 24, of Salem was also arrested and charged with possession with the intent to distribute meth, conspiracy to distribute meth, and distribution of meth. All of the aforementioned charges are felonies.
This investigation is ongoing and is pending indictment against multiple suspects for numerous felony charges, according to the release.
The taskforce is comprised of the following agencies: Blacksburg Police Department, Christiansburg Police Department, Floyd County Sheriff’s Office, Virginia Tech Police Department and the Virginia State Police.
