Simply Elemental on exhibit at Hahn Horticulture Garden

BLACKSBURG – Art for the 2023 Simply Elemental art exhibit in the Hahn Horticulture Garden has been installed, and the opening reception is set for tomorrow, Sunday August 6, 4 – 6 p.m. at the Hahn Garden Pavilion.

Maps are available inside the pavilion building or in a brochure box at the kiosk near the greenhouse entrance.

Light refreshments will be provided, sponsored by The Matrix Gallery, Fine American Arts and Crafts. Opening remarks and awards will be starting at 4 p.m., followed by poetry readings by Jack Callan and Sophia Terazawa and music by Aline de Souza. 

Thanks to generous sponsorship this year’s winners will receive $100 cash awards. Awards include: Most Original —The Community Foundation of the NRV’s Kolla-Landwehr Fund, Best Fit for the Garden —The Community Foundation of the NRV’s Kolla-Landwehr Fund, Hahn Garden Staff Choice – Blacksburg Regional Art Association, and People’s Choice Award – American Mulch & More (announced at end of show).

Come to the garden and vote for your favorite piece. The People’s Choice Award will be presented at the end of the show. Parking is free on weekends. The Hahn Horticulture Garden is located on the campus of Virginia Tech.
