RADFORD – A narcotics investigation has led to the arrest of two people in Radford on charges from drug possession to felony child neglect and assaulting a police officer.

According to Radford Interim Police Chief Angie Frye, Radford City police officers obtained a search warrant for an apartment on the 200 block of Allen Avenue on Wednesday.

“Officers seized drugs, cash, mobile phones and drug paraphernalia at the scene,” Frye said in a release. “Radford’s Department of Social Services also responded to the scene to assist with a young child that was living at the apartment.

After the search, police arrested 35-year-old Kazre Nicole Bobbit on one count of felony child neglect, one count of felony assault on a police officer and one count of obstruction of justice. She is being held without bond at New river Regional Jail.
