Arlene Saari, of Blacksburg, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in Blacksburg, with her husband and family by her side. 

Arlene is survived by her dedicated husband of 68 years, Arne, her three children, Brian Saari (Lynn), Bobbie Lopez (Michael) and Joan Young (Steve); sister Connie Jackson; grandsons Thomas Lopez (Nickole), John Lopez, Jake Saari, Andrew Lopez, Lagan Lippard (Katie), granddaughters Alison Saari, Ardis Roe (Brian), Jesse Lippard; great-grandchildren Riley and Ava Lopez, Lucas Lopez, Atlas and Milo Lippard, Brytin, Coltin, Camdin Link and her beloved nieces and nephews, Missy, Jeff, Tina, Michael, Courtney, Gage and Paige.
Arlene was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend, known for her kindness, hospitality and love of her Lhasa Apsos. She was famous for her Sunday dinners and her amazing Christmas Eve party for family and friends and many others lucky enough to find their way to her table. She owned and operated Partyrama Card and Gift Shop for 30 years and served on the National Bank Board and the Lyric Theater.
A celebration of life will be held in the future. In lieu of flowers, any donations may be made to the Lyric Theater or a charity of your choice.
The family would like to thank her doctor, Rob Solomon and the Lewis Gale Montgomery Hospital staff for their superior care and compassion.
