Cle’von Greene and Devin Hutchinson will join the Radford University men’s basketball team next year. The Highlanders will lose three seniors to graduation.

Radford men’s basketball head coach Mike Jones announced the addition of two new players to the program as part of the 2018 signing class.

Cle’von Greene and Devin Hutchinson have signed National Letters of Intent to don the Radford uniform next season.

The duo will join a strong core of players already in Radford with only three seniors set to graduate and leave the program this spring.

Cle’von Greene

6-2 | 175 | Guard | Williamsburg | Williamsburg Christian Academy

Averaged 25.9 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.4 assists as a junior

Led WCA to the Virignia VISAA DIII State title

Was named VISAA DIII State Player of the Year

2016-17 Daily Press Boys Basketball Player of the Year

Coach Jones on Greene: “Cle’von has really made a name for himself here in the state of Virginia and we’re very pleased that he decided to stay home and join our program. He has been one of the best scorers in the state the past two years and will fit in perfectly with the way we want to play. He is a terrific person and brings energy and enthusiasm to our team. We are excited about him and expect him to positively impact our guards from day one.”

Devin Hutchinson

6-5 | 195 | Wing | Charlotte, N.C. | Brunswick Community College

Averaged 9.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 1.4 assists and shot 48% as a freshman at BCC

Comes to Radford from the same JUCO that brought them Cam Jones

Off to a great start in 2017, already posting a 30-point performance this season

Coach Jones on Hutchinson: “Devin comes to us with a very unique story and background, and we believe he’s just scratched the surface of how good he can be. He is another terrific person who loves the game and is the ultimate gym rat. He has made the most of his opportunities and has developed into a terrific scorer. With his size and length, he will provide great depth to our wing rotation. We are very happy that he will be joining our program.”
