Radford University’s Leadership Award Winners included: women’s tennis player Natale Sayer (left) and men’s basketball player Justin Cousin. Over 400 student-athletes, coaches and staff gathered for Radford’s all-sports banquet, The RUBY’s, Monday evening inside Dedmon Center. Athletes of the Year were Ed. Polite Jr. (MBB) and Zach Ridgely (BSB); and female – Maddie Palmer (VB). Strength and Conditioning Athletes of the Year were: Male – Randy Phillips (MBB) and Female – Marissa Gagliano (SB). The program’s Biggest Fan Award was given to Betty Dore.Radford University held its annual “RUBY” sports award banquet Monday. Women’s soccer player Jessica Wollmann (left) of Blacksburg was named the female scholar athlete of the year. Men’s soccer player Fraser Colmer (right) was named the male scholar athlete of the year.
