The Retired Senior Volunteer Program Advisory Council Scholarship Committee reviewed thirteen applications for this year’s $1,000 scholarship awards selecting Zachary Blevins, a student from Christiansburg High School who will attend New River Community College and Kaley Grace Jones, a student of Eastern Montgomery High School who will attend Radford University. Both young people are pursuing nursing degrees.
“A special thank you goes to Ellen Rorrer for attending the awards ceremony at Christiansburg High School on May 6, Diane Simmons for attending the awards ceremony at Eastern Montgomery High School on May 11, and to the following committee members who carefully reviewed the applications: Sarah Carter, Phyllis Lutz, Ellen Rorrer, and Diane Simmons,” said the RSVP announcement.
