Roe, Laura Kay Dowdy

Laura “Lorrie” Kay Dowdy Roe, 51, born on Feb. 22, 1966, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct.14, 2017 at her home in Fairlawn.


Survivors include her husband, James “Jimmy” Roe of Radford; children and their spouses, Walter Clarence “JR” and Crystal Clark, Christena Clark, and Brandon Lee Dalton, all of Radford; stepchildren and their spouses, Tiffany and Brian Mitchell of Pigeon Forge, Tenn., Sabrina and Jeff Hayes of Riddleton, Tenn., and Greg and Amanda Roe of Dublin; father and his special friend, Larry Dowdy, Sr. and Mary of Dublin; mother and stepfather, Patricia and Bill Jones of Parrott; brother, Larry Wayne Dowdy, Jr. of Dublin; sister and brother-in- law, Sheri and Chuck Parsons of S.C.; grandmother, Kathleen Thomas of Christiansburg; 15 grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 20, 2017 at the Parrott Church of God. Memorial services will begin at 12 p.m. with Pastor Kenneth Alley and Pastor Mark Miller officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.

The Roe family is in the care of Mullins Funeral Home & Crematory in Radford.
