David Allen Roberts, 82, of Lynchburg died Monday, April 15, 2019. He was the devoted husband of Charlotte Ann Roberts for 56 years.
Dave was born November 10, 1936 in Christiansburg, a son of the late Howard Taft Roberts and Annie Janelle Roberts. Dave honorably served his country in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis and was retired as an electronics technician with General Electric. He was a member of the Leesville Ruritan Club, Lynchburg Emmaus, and Calvary Baptist Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children; Gregory A. Roberts and partner Lisa Brigham of Lynchburg, Deborah Hoffman of Davenport, FL, Pamela Keefe and her husband Paul of Ashburn; five grandchildren, Grace Keefe and Owen Keefe both of Ashburn, Meghan Keefe Schmitt of Poway, Calif., Lauren Keefe of Salem, N.H., Avery Roberts of Boise, ID, and Ryleigh Warner of Clarkston, Wash.; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family received friends on Thursday, April 18, 2019 at Calvary Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Dave’s Life follwed the visitation at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Louis Beckwith officiating. A reception followed the service. Interment was held at Virginia Memorial Park following the reception.
