A new season of Pulaski River Turtles baseball is slated to begin June 6 on the road against the Bluefield Ridge Runners with Opening Night at Calfee Park scheduled for Thursday, June 8, against the Danville Otterbots.
Released Monday, Nov. 14,, the 2023 River Turtles schedule includes 24 home games with 11 home games in June and 13 home games in July with the regular season finale scheduled for Monday, July 31. The 2023 schedule boasts a total of 48 dates.
All home games will begin at 7 p.m. A collection of promotional nights will accentuate the action-packed schedule, headlined by the return of Agriculture Night, Saddle-Up Sunday, and Circus Night.

2023 will mark Pulaski’s 57th season fielding teams in the Appalachian League. The River Turtles enjoyed a successful 2021 campaign in the league’s first season of collegiate wood-bat play, compiling a regular-season record of 32-22 and winning the East Division championship. The Greeneville Flyboys then edged the River Turtles 9-8 to earn the 2021 Appalachian League championship. The River Turtles followed up their maiden season with a solid second-place finish in the East Division in 2022.

Calfee Park opened in 1935 and was renovated for the organization’s first season under the ownership of Shelor Motor Mile in 2015. The organization is celebrating its 57th season in the Appalachian League in 2023.
Pulaski teams have a combined all-time record of 252-207 (248-199 regular season).
