Over the weekend, Mr. John Ferguson’s Dual Enrollment US History students competed in Virginia History Day at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture. “We are very proud of their work in getting to the state competition and for proudly representing RHS,” Radford High School announced. “This was Radford High School’s first time participating in History Day. Special thanks to Mrs. (Heather) Rowland for chaperoning.” According to the Virginia Museum of History and Culture, Virginia History Day is the state affiliate of National History Day, a project-based learning program for students grades 4-12. The interdisciplinary research project helps students develop historical thinking and literacy skills while making the study of history engaging, relevant, and most of all, fun.
